The Alcott Dads group provides volunteer services in support of the Alcott PTG, as well as provides a social outlet for fathers who wish to become more involved in their kids’ school activities. Working closely with the Alcott PTG, the Alcott Dads have provided some much-needed support on some major and minor initiatives.
Past projects include the construction of new sandwich boards to display PTG and school messages on the Alcott campus, the completion of the baseball diamond at the Alcott playground, construction of the Alcott Outdoor Classroom, as well as the four raised-bed gardens used by K-3 teachers.
The Alcott Dads generally meet on the third Thursday of each month. See the history of how Alcott Dads group was started: History of the Alcott Dads.
Dads are also, of course, always welcome to attend PTG meetings! See PTG Calendar for dates.
