5th Grade Collection for Open Table
Each grade is being asked to bring in different items to create the Kids Bags: Kindergarten should bring fruit cups or applesauce cups - no sugar added, First Grade should bring small, individual boxes of cereal or oatmeal packets, Second Grade should bring 100% juice boxes, Third Grade should bring boxes of macaroni and cheese, Fourth Grade should bring granola bars or fruit bars, and Fifth Grade should bring cans of soup or canned ravioli or snack size packs of crackers or pretzels.
Students can bring donations to school and drop them off in the bins outside their classrooms. Please log into the Alcott PTG website link for the Turkey Trot. Scroll down the page to the yellow “donate” button. The deadline for collection of pledges is Monday, December 2. Cafeteria Volunteers Reminder
Reminder: Volunteers are needed in the cafeteria to help the students manage our composting system! Black Earth collects bags of compostable waste from all the schools in the district, but our younger students need some help managing their trays and sorting items appropriately. Please use the SignUpGenius link to cover some lunchtime shifts so we can minimize the mess and maximize the compost!
