Alcott First Annual Spelling Bee

The mission of the Alcott Spelling Bee is to create a joyful, inclusive, and confidence-building experience that celebrates language learning and teamwork. By participating in grade-level teams of 2–4 students, children support one another, take healthy risks, and grow as spellers in a low-pressure environment. The Spelling Bee is designed to spark curiosity, foster collaboration, and nurture a love of words — ensuring that every child feels valued, encouraged, and proud of their effort.

Sign up to help volunteer at the event here.

Details will be presented to 3rd, 4th and 5th garde students in school on April 1st and sign ups will begin on April 10th!

Coffee with the Principal - Meet the Mental Health Team

From Naomi Krakow:

This Friday, January 23rd at 9:30, families are invited to join me for an informal coffee to meet the members of Alcott's mental health team.  We will share an overview of the mental health supports we provide for students, from Tier 1 whole class instruction to small group targeted interventions to individual counseling.  Over the last year, we have welcomed several new counselors to our school community so you may be interested in attending this coffee even if you are a veteran Alcott family!

This event will be hybrid.  Please come in person or join on zoom using this link: https://concordps.zoom.us/j/95580522430?pwd=2ZNMxb8dauip0JztQ0gBOjWxMBqYBD.1&jst=2

Variety Show

This year the Alcott Variety Show will showcase on November 20, 2025! This is a change from previous years, where our show was held in the late spring.

For those of you who may not know, the Alcott School Variety Show is a family-friendly evening that showcases the awesome talents of our Alcott students (and sometimes teachers!) This is meant to be a fun, supportive night, with no competition involved. Talents can be performing an instrument, doing stand-up comedy, performing a skit, dancing, or whatever you can think of! Participation details can be found HERE.
