Find Bronson on the trails: 5th grade event: Thank you to the 5th grade families who participated in the Find Bronson trail walk over the Thanksgiving holiday. An impressive 60 walks were recorded! Mrs. Anderson's and Mr. Gregor's classes were tied at 20 trails walked; Mrs. Wilson's class was a close second with 17 trails. A special mention to Max Currie, Nicolas Haeni, and Maddie Werner who each walked all 5 trails! Way to go, 5th graders!! We hope you had fun finding Bronson with your family and friends on the beautiful Concord Land Trust trails.

CYT - Registration Now Open for Concord Youth Theatre Winter Classes!

  • SHOWTIME (Grades 1-2; Instructor: Joey Talbert; Thursdays 3:45-4:45pm) - Children will be guided through the exciting process of play-making in a safe environment that encourages ensemble work. The class will use simple scripts or improvised dialogue to create and rehearse a play to be performed for family members during the last class.

  • KIDS KOMPANY(Grades 3-4; Instructor: Joey Talbert; Thursdays 5 – 6 pm) - Students will experience the excitement of putting on a play, improvising scripts, auditioning for roles, rehearsing, and creating simple costumes to accent their characters. This class will focus on performance skills with special emphasis on class collaboration. The session will conclude with an informal performance.

“Intro to Debate” Public Speaking Workshop (Online). Lumos Debate is hosting half-day debate workshops this Winter Break! Students will get a chance to practice public speaking in a low-pressure, fun environment that is perfect for first time or shy students.

IMSCC's Winter/Spring online music lessons begin in January - registration is open now! Learn more about IMSCC's lesson program, including information about tuition rates and instructor bios. Intro to Drawing @ Home
This virtual class through The Umbrella Arts teaches children how to draw! Each class will include a story, structured drawing lesson, and creative option to finish the art work off.
Wicked Gross Science
Gross Science is not for the easily queasy! The gross yet fascinating things in life hide many science secrets like what's hidden in a diaper. Classify some creepy crawlies and neutralize smelly smells. Make some model mucus, create alien slime, have fun with other grossly amusing science adventures.
Code Wiz Classes
Code Wiz aligns its curriculum with the K–12 Computer Science Framework represents a vision in which all students engage in the concepts and practices of computer science. The framework promotes a vision in which all students critically engage in computer science issues; approach problems in innovative ways; and create computational artifacts with a practical, personal, or societal intent.

Town of Concord Holiday Gift Card Drive: Donate to the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest and Town of Concord’s annual gift drive to benefit families in need in Concord. Simply purchase a gift card in any amount from any merchant - local preferred! - and drop it in one of our secure drop boxes, located at the Concord Public Library at 129 Main Street, The Concord-Carlisle Community Chest office at 19 Main Street or at Concord Recreation Human Services Building at 55 Church St in West Concord. Family Trees 25th Anniversary Celebration of Children's Literature - Now Open through January 3, 2021: Visit the Concord Museum this holiday season, in person, to see 28 trees and wreaths of all shapes and sizes ornamented with inspiration from children's books. Brimming with whimsy and charm, this creative twist on Concord's renowned literary legacy is sure to brighten spirits and warm hearts of all ages. Family Trees is on view seven days a week from 10am to 4pm. Timed tickets can be reserved online (closed 11/26, 12/24, and 12/25). Your timed tickets ensure that occupancy levels remain low for your comfort and safety. Face coverings and social distancing are required during your visit. Family Trees books are available for sale in the Concord Museum's shop in partnership with the Concord Bookshop.
