PTG Highlights: K Popsicle Party, Open House, Back to School Night

Back-to-School Kindergarten Popsicle Party, Wed. Aug. 22, 2018, 3:30-5pm:  CFN's (http://www.concordfamilynetwork.org/) annual Back-to-School Popsicle Party will be held at the Alcott Playground on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 3:30-5pm. The event is open to all families with incoming Concord kindergarteners. We'll have color-coded name tags to facilitate meeting other families from your elementary school. We'll also have parachute games, popsicles, face painting and more. Please RSVP using the link above so we can make sure to have enough popsicles for everyone!

Open House:  Before we officially begin the new school year, you and your child are invited to attend the Alcott School Open House on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 1:00–2:00 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to meet his/her new teacher, classmates, and see the classroom.

Transportation:  Information concerning transportation will be published in the Concord Journal and on the district website, http://www.concordps.org/transportation-2/school-bus-route/ in late August.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding bus transportation, please contact Mr. Wayne Busa, Transportation Manager, at 978-461-3981.
 
First day of school for students for the 2018-2019 School Year is Wednesday, August 29.  School begins promptly at 9:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM for all students.  Students will attend school on Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30.  Friday, August 31 and Monday, September 3 the school will be closed for the long Labor Day weekend. 

Back to School Night:  Mark you calendar for the K – 5 Back to School Night on September 12th.  The schedule is as follows:  GR 2 & 3 – 6:30 – 7:00; GR K & 1 – 7:00 – 7:30; GR 4 & 5 – 7:30 – 8:00 PM.  Principal, Specialists, and PTG Representatives will be in the Café from 6:30 – 8:00 PM.

PTG Highlights: Happy Summer!

The Alcott Student Garden Project has lift off!  We will be renovating and expanding the student garden on the Alcott campus to be able to accommodate a wide range of future garden programming. Alcott Online Store has Yearbooks on Sale Now:  We have a limited number of yearbooks from this year and several past years available to purchase in the Alcott Store. The cost for the 2017/2018 book is $40.00. IF YOU WANT A YEARBOOK, PLEASE BUY BY FRIDAY FOR DELIVERY TO SCHOOL. THERE ARE ONLY FOUR 2017/2018 YEARBOOKS LEFT. All other yearbooks are currently on sale for $24.00.
