ALCOTT NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thank you from the Staff Appreciation Team: The Alcott staff and ice cream are both things we are incredibly grateful for—so we combined them in an event!  We wrapped up our last Staff Appreciation Event on 6/2 with an ice cream truck.  Thankfully, the weather cooperated.

The whole school appreciates your generous contributions to help the hard-working staff at Alcott have a memorable time with the ice cream truck, which was a great cherry on the top of a challenging year. Thank you again for your wonderful contributions to the school. Have a great summer!

Alcott Chess: The quarantine is nearing an end and folks are eagerly departing on vacation. There are those too that will stay locally and are looking for super activities for their children to fill their time and keep them engrossed. We have the answer! How about chess? After the long quarantine and perpetual checking served online, there will be a final chess summer fling, a 10-week course with a huge surprise! And that surprise is that the class will be taught from the Tropics by International Chess Master, Valery Frenklakh, our former resident instructor. Isn't that amazing!?

The session will commence Thursday, June 17 at 5:30 for the low cost of $180. Be sure to mark the date. And there will be family discounts and scholarships you won't want to miss. Ready to enroll? Make payment to Ken Belt at <<alcotttchess>> via Venmo or PayPal. Be sure to email alcottchess@hotmail.com for your questions. What do you say? Don't be left en passant. Chess is great! It's your move, mate.
