Garden Club of Concord - Project Proposals
The Garden Club of Concord is soliciting proposals from Concord community organizations for projects that support the preservation, restoration, and development of gardens and the natural environment of the Concord community. The Club’s grants program is funded entirely by proceeds from its annual May plant sale. Organizations recently benefiting from a GCC grant include Concord Land Trust, Minuteman Arc, Orchard House, Concord Museum, Concord-Carlisle High School, and Concord’s Gold Star Families. A GCC grants committee meets each fall to review proposals and make recommendations to the membership for formal approval. Efforts to include native plants are especially appreciated. Whenever possible the Club avoids funding labor costs and non-plant material. Details and applications are available at gardenclubofconcord.org. The deadline for applying is October 11.
