ALCOTT NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Alcott Chess Tournament Winners: The Alcott Chess Tournament concluded and per club motto, everyone was a winner just by participating in the chess tournament. 5th Grade Stop Motion Videos: Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for Arts Night on Wednesday, 5/29! 5th grade families can find the stop motion animation videos here.
Green Art Bags: Please be on the lookout for any green Art Bags that you might have at home and send them back in with your students. We only have about 5 currently in the art classroom which makes it tricky to send home large format art. Thank you!
School Supplies 2024-2025: We've partnered with 1st Day School Supplies to make shopping for your child's supplies super easy! Just click here and purchase your child's supplies for next year (select the grade they will be in for 24-25) and it will be delivered to your child's classroom at Alcott before school starts in August. Please consider purchasing an extra kit or 2 to donate for those in need. Deadline to order is July 1.
Library Books: If you can't find your library books, please replace them or send in a check payable to "Alcott Lost Book Fund" so that we may replace the items. The Library Book Swap will run through June 7th. During class library time, students can exchange 1-3 books from home (elementary school age appropriate and in gently used condition) that they no longer want for books that other students have swapped.
Thank you for supporting the Alcott Library. -Kerry O'Rourke
Ice Cream Celebration: To celebrate the end of the school year and congratulate all our students on a fantastic year, the Alcott PTG is sponsoring an Ice Cream Celebration in school on Friday, June 7 after students' lunch recess period.
