It’s back!  The Alcott School Turkey Trot.  This event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 9:30-11:45 at the Emerson Track. For more details please see this document. This all school event, organized by Mr. Gaudreau, is a charity jog-a-thon where students obtain pledges, have 15 minutes to jog with their grade around the track at Emerson and then go back to sponsors to collect pledges. 100% funds raised go to charities. Before School Sports Workshop Grade 1st/2nd – Spots Still Available! In this classic workshop led by Ms. McMahon, kids get their yayas out before school with running, playing and games. Kids will play games such as Dr. Dodge, Soccer, Escape and Pinball. When: Thursdays 8am-8:45am. Dates: 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13. Cost $75.00. Run by M. McMahon/S. Curran. Visitors from our Sister School in Japan:  On October 31st, Alcott will have visitors from our sister Town in Japan. We will welcome our visitors with an All-School Meeting and exchange of gifts. They will also tour Alcott and visit in classrooms.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all who helped make Fall Fest a great success this year and to all who attended because we couldn’t do it without you! From set up to clean up (and everything in between), Alcott had another fantastic Fall Fest despite the weather challenges. We sincerely hope you and your families enjoyed each aspect of it. The Alcott Student Garden Project Update: With the approval of our school committee, we will be renovating and expanding the student garden to be able to accommodate a wide range of future garden programming on the Alcott campus. Student Garden Project Committee meetings scheduled through the fall @ 11:30 am on Fridays 10/19, 11/2, and 11/30. Please check-in at Alcott office and you will be directed to location. Family Work Days are scheduled for Saturday October 20 and November 3, 10:00 am- 2:00 pm. This Fall we will begin the demolition of the old garden space, as well as install new beds and walkways. CLICK HERE to RSVP. Thank you for your support!

at Alcott School and Playground

The Alcott Fall Fest is just a few days away on Saturday October 13 from 1 - 4 pm - now is a great time to sign up for a volunteer spot! Help is still needed in many areas including set up before the event, selling raffle tickets during the event, and clean up. For those parents feeling brave, you might sign up for 30 minutes in the dunk tank- costumes optional but encouraged!

Tickets can be purchased at the event. All online sales are now closed.
