News and Announcements

A Message from the PTG President

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our spring Walk to School yesterday. It was great to see so many Alcott families enjoying the spring weather and our special guest Thor! A huge thanks to Serena Crosina and the Alcott Green Team. the Concord Public Library and Concord Police Department for making these events happen. Mark your calendars for May 12 when Alcott will be riding and rolling to school for our annual Bike to School!

Next Wednesday is our last open PTG meeting of the year. We have a packed agenda but I wanted to highlight one item for all Alcott families. You might have read coverage in The Concord Bridge or heard rumors at pickup and it is true, Alcott will be getting a new playground! At next Wednesday's open meeting we will kick off this process with a community visioning session where parents can have their voices heard about what they would like to see included in the new playspaces. As an added incentive, we will be offering childcare during the meeting, one of our many efforts to make it easier for families to become active members of the Alcott community. I hope to see many of you there!

Thanks, Abby Flanagan

PTG President, Mom to Michael (Grade 2), Cora (Grade 1), and William (Pre-K)
